High Frontier

Two of my current favorite games are from smaller game publishers. High Frontier is one of those games. I don't know what it is, maybe my engineering background or interest in Sci-Fi and science in general but the game just fascinates me. I bought the game and expansion at BGG Con 2010 just based on the few things I had read about it on BGG.

After playing the game a few times I wanted to contribute so I downloaded the VASSAL module for it on the High Frontier Yahoo Group and added to it. Hopefully my additions helped to make the module better.

I recently purchased the new expanded map that includes the remaining planets in the solar system. I haven't had the chance to play on it yet but am looking forward to it.

2011 Gaming So Far

Man, I haven't posted here for a while. I have been playing games really I have and to prove it here are some slideshows of game days we've had this year.

MAR 26 Game Day

Games played at Madness Games & Comics

A few weeks ago on March 26. We had a game day at Madness Games & Comics in Plano, TX.
It was a good turn out for the game group, ~23 people showed up for gaming.

I played a 4-player game of Friedrich (as Prussia) and Russia managed to win during Turn 13.

We then played a 4-player game of Battle for Baghdad and the US player won by satisfying
his special victory conditions.

I like both of these games but thought Battle for Baghdad dragged a little longer than I would have liked. It may
have been because I had brain burn from playing Prussia in Friedrich!
